Ellis Bridals is a pioneer of luxury British bridal. Established in 1912 in London, Ellis Bridals is now exclusively available in luxury independent boutiques worldwide.

Ada Ellis honed her craft by creating bespoke dresses for London’s early 20th Century aristocracy. The birth of Ellis Bridals came when on a bright January day in 1910 Ada herself walked down the aisle to marry Sam in the very first Ellis wedding gown. Her distinctive, elegant style struck a chord and word spread fast. Demand grew as brides across England clamoured for an original Ellis Bridals creation. The brand blossomed, carving a place at the forefront of British bridal-wear. Believing that you should work surrounded by what you love, in the 1960s Ada opened her central London Atelier.

The couple became a family and their children grew up surrounded by their parents’ devotion to design that has spanned the generations. In turn, Regine Ellis and her son James have become the co-creators of the legacy that continues to charm and enchant brides globally. True to Ada’s words, family bonds have kept the heart of Ellis Bridals in London, where it has always been.

Lauren and the seamstress were extremely helpful and pleasant. After going to another bridal boutique I felt deflated and feeling like I’ll never find a dress because I wasn’t a size 8. The person at this boutique was trying to pressure me into buying a dress that did not flatter me in any way and told me that the dresses I liked wouldn’t look good on someone my size, I had a baby 3 months ago and still getting used to my new body so my confidence was shattered. This was until I met Cecelia. She made me feel more confident. She picked me up off the ground (figuratively) and made me feel like I could be a beautiful bride. Firstly, all of the staff at your store are absolutely amazing and go out of there way to make you feel welcome. My consultant was CC and she truly went above and beyond to help make shopping for my wedding dress a special experience. CC was supportive, kind and had a great sense of humor which made the whole dress shopping experience relaxing and fun. CC listened to what I had to say and helped to translate my wedding vision into a dress (even taking the time to construct a mock bouquet in my wedding colours!). I am a larger girl and CC took so much care to help me look beautiful in every gown I tried on, putting in the effort to ensure the fit of each dress was “just right” (having been to three other store before Always and Forever, I know that not all consultants or stores do this). CC took the time to make me (and my family) feel special and I cant express how my grateful I am for the help she has given me.

Secondly, I was very impressed by the variety of gowns the store stocks. I loved that all the dresses were layed out by silhouette, it helped to make it easy to find the style you were looking for.

All in all, I would rate and recommend Always and Forever Bridal – amazing from start to finish!
